Dr. Andreas Schroeder is a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at Aston University's Advanced Services Group. Andreas’s research specialty focuses on understanding how businesses select and acquire the IT systems they need, and then how to integrate them into the business to get the most value from them. His work focuses on how manufacturers can get strategic value from the data that can be captured through the Internet of things. Capturing and interpreting the ‘in-use’ data gives the manufacturer significant competitive advantage and helps to secure future business with the customer; many businesses are yet to grasp the potential of this innovation.
