After such a tough year, I couldn’t be more excited to bring the ServiceMax community from all over the globe together for Maximize 2021.

Over the past year, service teams have been on the front lines, helping to improve the world during these trying times. It’s been inspiring to watch as manufacturers transition to making masks and PPE, building ventilators, researching vaccines, assembling tools for diagnostics, and scaling all the parts that go into global logistics.

Our customers and their technicians are true heroes who have worked tirelessly to keep the world running. Early on, I heard stories about the challenges technicians overcame to get to customer sites safely and ensure critical healthcare equipment stayed operational given the tax on hospitals. Service teams have been working double-time to ensure the safety of technicians, customers, back-office staff, and everyone else along the service lifecycle.

The dedication, passion, and perseverance displayed by service teams has inspired me and the ServiceMax team over and over again this past year. This is what drives us to continue to grow and innovate and support our customers in being resilient, agile, and safe.

Over the next two days, you’ll notice the theme of resiliency come through. Amit Jain, our SVP of Products will deliver what I am sure is to be a fantastic keynote on the strategies and technologies you can deploy to ensure resiliency at your service business. I am looking forward to speaking with leaders from Valmet, BD, and MMI who are leading the way in transforming their service delivery to ensure resiliency and empower their technicians.

Neil Barua is the Chief Executive Officer of ServiceMax and a member of the Board of Directors. He has an extensive background in the technology industry and a proven track record of growing businesses. Previously, Neil was CEO of IPC Systems. During his tenure, he sold IPC and led a SaaS and data transformation of the company. Most recently, Barua served as an operating partner at Silver Lake, the global leader in technology investing. Earlier in his career, he was part of John Legere’s leadership team that helped transform Global Crossing through consistent growth.
