We’ve just about recovered from the whirlwind that is Dreamforce: keynotes with famous people, great sessions, one-on-one time at booths, and of course…the after-parties. Once again, we’d like to thank everyone who came to one of our sessions, had some libations with us at MaxLive or the Dreamforce Kick-off Party, signed up for one of our product demos, and took time to speak with us one-on-one.
There were so many highlights from Dreamforce 2014 it was hard to choose a few standouts. But here are a few of the team’s favorites:
Not Your Ordinary Booth Antics
To catch the eye of passersby and encourage them to make a stop at our booth, Product Marketing Manager (and singer extraordinaire) Susan Tonkin performed a live rendition of our “Frozen” parody about going to Dreamforce. This was a favorite DF14 moment for many of our staff, including Creative Director Percy Chow, CMO Stacey Epstein, and Manager of Product Marketing Micki Collart. Judging by the number of tweets that went out about this, the crowd loved it too!
Mid Market Sales Development Rep Daniel Wolf, enjoyed overhearing a booth passerby stating: “I know Dave personally. A few years ago Dave Yarnold was here working the booth, and now he is having one-on-one meetings with a full staff of employees working the booth. It is amazing how far this company has come and grown in just a few years!”
Field Service in Action!
Even before Dreamforce started, we were scouting awesome field service workers on the ground doing set-up, and then keeping everything running during a very busy conference. This was Director of Marketing, Janelle Donovan’s favorite part of being on the ground at Dreamforce and she tweeted out many of her own pics of field service heroes in action!
We also blogged about it, and encouraged people to tweet us their own field service action pics with the hashtag #DFheroes, and collected a bunch of great photos of them along the way. Here are a few favorites:
Contests!
We had a booth contest giveaway for a Moto Watch that happened at an opportune moment. Right after our booth neighbor Informatica had finished giving away their $10K prize, the non-winners walked by our booth so we let them know there was another chance to win a great prize! Beth Rose from LexMark ended up walking away with the Moto Watch. Congrats again Beth! Enjoy your new watch!
Maxing Out at MaxLive!
Our field service event MaxLive was a huge success! Over 200 of the brightest minds in gathered together and Liz Carter, our Director of Events, loved seeing people arrive early to check-in to make sure they got a good seat at an oversold event. A few shots of the packed room and CEO Dave Yarnold speaking about how to Unleash the Power of Field Service:
Company pride!
Having such a strong presence at Dreamforce this year with our booth, events, sessions, and ads created a lot of pride and sense of accomplishment for us. Director of Product Management Colby Lavin got a real charge out of walking down the main stairs to the Moscone Center and seeing all these eye-catching ServiceMax ads:
Colby also had a personal win meeting with customer Medtronic about some of their urgent issues, which ended up turning the discussion into a talk about the best approach for adding 1500 users globally. Creating real-time, on-the-ground solutions is part of what ServiceMax (and field service) is all about!
Thanks to all our customers, staff, and partners for a productive and fun Dreamforce 2014. Now, what was your favorite moment of Dreamforce? Share in the comments below!
