The U.S. Maximize events have come to a close, and what an incredible two weeks it was! ServiceMax from GE Digital invited customers, potential customers, and industry experts to the two locations — Las Vegas and Boston — to network, learn and explore the latest advances in field service and digital transformation.

At our Maximize event in Las Vegas, we proudly announced the winners of this year’s U.S. MaxChoice Awards, recognizing our most innovative customers who have significantly impacted their business and transformed their service operations.

The Rent-A-Center team accepts its MaxChoice award.

This year’s Rookie of the Year Award winner was Rent-A-Center, a public furniture and electronics rent-to-own company which operates over 3,000 stores. In just its first year of implementation, Rent-A-Center rolled out Predix ServiceMax to 22 depot repair centers and transformed its service operations from a 20-year old paper-based system to an iPad-only deployment in all its daily operations.

The “We Keep the World Running” Award was given to Bayer Crop Science, a division of Bayer that is shaping the future of the agricultural industry with high-quality food, animal feed, and renewable raw materials. Bayer supports field service technicians in the U.S. and Brazil, and plans an expanded global roll out in New Zealand, Argentina, & Chile later this year.

The Customer Impact Award was awarded to Compac Sorting Equipment, which provides integrated post-harvest solutions and services to the global fresh produce industry. Compac is utilizing Predix ServiceMax to maintain personal relationships with its customers, offering detailed reporting to provide new enhanced levels of service engagement.

Bunn-O-Matic Corporation, a manufacturer of dispensed beverage equipment, captured this year’s Innovation Award. The company utilizes MapAnything for Predix ServiceMax to maintain a 360-degree view of its service operations and uses IoT geofencing workflows for improved communication between drivers & dispatchers.

The Business Impact Award was presented to Kodak Alaris, which delivers document scanners, state-of-the-art software, photo paper, printing kiosks, and more to corporations and consumers across the globe. The company developed a comprehensive service operations business model and rolled it out globally, while still allowing for regional variations.

And finally, our Raving Fan of the Year Award was given to Medtronic Cardiac Surgery Service, a world leader in medical technology that develops devices and therapies to treat more than 30 chronic diseases. With Predix ServiceMax, Medtronic greatly reduced breakdowns and malfunctions of its life-saving machines.
