Forgetting a vital tool can set a service tech back hours and even days. However, if they can download an app on their smartphone that can stand in for the forgotten tool, they might be able to get the information they need to finish the job. The handy measuring tape mobile app EasyMeasure enables field service techs to make some quick, rough measurements using their smartphones. The Android app Bubble Level and the iPhone app iHandy give techs the ability to check the angle and orientation of surfaces using their phones’ accelerometer feature. Both apps are free and can run without Internet access once downloaded.
